Dervish is software built in the spirit of a high performance hot-rod. It's customized, personalized, unrefined, and a bit unintuitive, but if you can get past its idiosyncrasies it can be a powerful and focused performance tool.
When I was a young teenager I had plugged in my families camcorder to the TV. After about 15 minutes of goofing around seeing myself on screen I had pointed the camera at the television screen. I was amazed and thought this was the coolest thing since Lawn Mower Man (1992) and Beyond the Mind’s Eye (1992). Little did I know that many years later this accident would become part of my visual routine.
